Amicable ("Amicable", "we", "us") is a service operated by Alpha AI Services, a sole proprietorship of Don Towery, in New Hampshire, USA. By creating an account or using Amicable, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Amicable relays text messages between you and another person through a phone number we provide. It stores the original messages, produces a de-escalated ("calm") version that removes hostility while aiming to preserve the factual content and requests, and organizes your records. The calm version is a convenience. The verbatim original is the authoritative record of what was sent.
Amicable is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Using Amicable does not create an attorney-client relationship. Amicable keeps a tamper-evident record, but we do not guarantee that any record is admissible in any proceeding; admissibility is determined by a court under the applicable rules of evidence. Consult a licensed attorney about your situation.
Amicable is not an emergency service and is not monitored in real time. If you or a child is in danger, contact 911 or local emergency services immediately.
The calm version is generated by automated software and may not be perfect. It may occasionally rephrase, omit tone, or misjudge a message. You are responsible for reviewing the original message, which is always preserved and available to you. Messages flagged as possible safety threats are shown to you in their original form.
You represent that you are legally permitted to receive and record communications sent to your Amicable number, and that your use complies with the laws that apply to you, including any laws about recording or storing communications. Amicable notifies people who text your number that the number is a logged relay. You agree not to use Amicable to harass, threaten, stalk, or unlawfully surveil anyone, and not to use it for any unlawful purpose.
By providing a phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from Amicable related to the service. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Amicable is billed as a monthly subscription through our payment processor. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard; cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices are in USD and may change with notice for future billing periods.
You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
Amicable is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that messages will always be delivered.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alpha AI Services will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or lost opportunities, arising from your use of Amicable. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
You may stop using Amicable at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used unlawfully. On termination you may request an export of your records as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
