No. The other parent does not create an account or download anything. They text a dedicated Amicable relay number. The first time they do, they receive a one-time notice that the number is a logged co-parenting relay. After that, they text it like any other number. They do not see your dashboard or the rewritten versions of their messages.
Amicable only works for messages sent to the relay number. If the other parent continues texting your personal number instead, those messages are outside the relay. You would need to redirect them to the Amicable number, which some co-parents do by simply not responding to messages sent to their personal number. We cannot force the other parent to use it.
